This Years Anual General Meeting and presentation night 2008.

We held this years AGM meeting at the Northumbria Centre In Washington. 49 team managers attended the meeting as well as almost the full committee. We have 2 new committee members Lloyd Thompson amd Mark Crame who were voted onto the committee at the meeting. The teams were also invited to collect their individual ruuners up and winners trophies.



Well done to Fruit and Veg that won the Association Cup at Sandhill School 2007.

Presentation Night was held at the Westwood Club on Saturday 24th February 07,with group Stardust. It was a huge success with over 200 people attending the night, Over 200 trophies were presented on the night.

Hendons young people project, worked in partnership with this organisation and together we delivered a great competition at the Raich Carter Centre in Sunderland. 10 Boys teams aged 13-16 , took part in an all day football competition at the centre,there was a buffet and information stalls from Connexions and the city of Sunderland College, Hendon's Young people's Project and Washington 5-a-Side.


Gavin Green from Hendons Young People's Project and Dave Munneke at Washington 5-a-side was the main people that organised the competition. It was a huge sucess and once again, thankyou to all that attended. Lambton Street Boys A won the competition and Footballitis Runners up. Teams were from Lambton street, Penneywell, Catholic Youth Centre, Hendon's Young People's Project, and Washington. 


A team from Washington called Dream Team that took part in the competition at the raich Carter Centre.


The event was very successful and all teams that took part enjoyed the day.

Presentation night 2005

Washington 5-A-side Leagues Presentation night,took place on Saturday 25th of February at Westwood club, station road, Columbia, Washington. What a night, our best ever turn out, allowed over 200 trophy's to handed out on the night for cup and league winners and runners up, catogories like man of the match, most goals scored and of corse the wooden spoon, were awarded. Thank you to all those who took part in making it a success


Some of the Blackcats Team having a good night. Ian Dawson (front left) just missed out on the most man of the match awards, for the friday night league. He finished joint second in this league with Lee Bell from Bathroom Unit.


A free Buffet of over £400.00 was provided on the night. Everyone enjoyed the food. This was served just before the Presentation at 9.20pm. Also discount tickets were given out from the sponsors Jungle Rama.


It was a full house over 280 tickets sold for the event. People who turned up late had to stand. But they held up the bar, so it was not too bad.

George  Drenan the referee arrived with a crowd from Sunderland. This is the 1st time he's had any supporters. Quite a few referees turned up on the night and were thanked for their commitment.


Group Gangsters of Ska played plenty of Madness and got people on their feet before the night finished. May I take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended this years presentation night. Also all the Committee who helped on the night. Thanks for an enjoyable evening.

The Leagues Presentation Night was at the Westwood Club, Station Road, Columbia,Washington on Friday 11th March 05 at 7.30pm till 12.00pm it was a huge success and 180 peple attended the event. (Click on News)to find out more.

 Christmas Party.

Children make their way to the front.Over 300 people attended and celebrated our Family Christmas Party at the Top Club in Washington.The Pantomime Aladdin was excellent and the children throughly enjoyed it.We have all ready decided to have a nother party next year due to the success of this year.It was a real nice night and could not of gone better.The staff were excellent and also had a good time

Tony Junior and Shaun and Christian having a fab time.Tony Junior the children's entertainer finished the night in style. Not only did he manage to get all the children on their feet but all the adults too.

It was a full house at the Chrirtmas Party, over 300 people attended the panto and said they had really enjoyed it..



North Washington Youth Inclusion 5-A-Side Competitions


A Youth Inclusion Competition at The Northumbria Centre in Washington. The Valantine Cup  200 Young people aged 13-16 attended the event that ran all day 10-5pm.


It was an excellent day with a great turn out. 20 boys and 6 girls teams took part in the event. various information stalls were set out up stairs providing young people with information on Sexual Health, Alcohol and Drug awareness, and career advise. There was also a presentation and buffet.
